The first step in choosing a shaft is to determine whether you want graphite or steel. Graphite shafts are much lighter than steel shafts and therefore are more flexible for added distance. Steel shafts are not as flexible as graphite shafts, but offer more accuracy than distance. Upon deciding on a particular shaft, you will then need to determine your flex. Refer to the chart below.
